We are growing and searching for a highly motivated Content Specialist to join our team. This is a “roll up your sleeves” opportunity to jump in and create engaging copy for digital and traditional marketing strategies and initiatives.

As Content Specialist, you will be responsible for creating compelling and clearly written content for a wide variety of channels and audiences. It is imperative that you pay great attention to detail and ensure all final copy is error-free. The ideal candidate is a self-directed, enthusiastic, innovative team player looking to increase his or her knowledge base and gain exposure to many industries. That means that with a great attitude and thirst for knowledge, you’ll be in a position to learn a LOT about client management, the creative process and communicating effectively with the written word.

CONTENT SPECIALIST PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Raise the bar continually for writing fresh copy that connects with a desired audience and drives action
  • Be adept at varying the voice, style, and other characteristics of messaging based on the industry, company, or target audience
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communications- and client-related industry trends
  • Stay current on the appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistent messaging
  • Collaborate internally and with clients
  • Manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate ability to think creatively and critically
  • Experience with content management systems

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5+ years of copywriting experience, including proven relevant experience
  • Proficient in AP Style
  • Prior agency experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Journalism, Creative Writing, Communications, or related field
  • Portfolio samples from various marketing mediums and client/brand voices
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively to solve problems
  • Committed to continuous learning and personal development
